Standard Retreat Rates
At The Shack you will find beautiful log beds, cozy fireplaces, spacious rooms, free wifi, and all the conveniences and privacy of hotel-style accommodations in a unique country lodging experience. Our log buildings are handcrafted Michigan style log lodges with post and timber construction on a grand scale.
As a part of your reservation rate fee, you will receive many faith-based programming options. You’ll have a variety of options to select from that best fit what your experience needs to be. Know that our country porches also welcome you to sit a while, relax, read a book, visit, and enjoy the view of God’s creation. It’s up to you; your extraordinary escape is closer than you think with a Michigan getaway.
Starting January 1, 2026, all multi-night reservations will include lunch for 2 guests on the days when your reservation covers lunchtime. Lunch is not included on the day of check-in or check out due to arrival and departure times. Lunch can be purchased for additional guests or on the day of check in/out for $15 each. Box lunches are available upon request. Sundays include Late Morning Breakfast Gathering (9:30–11:00 AM) instead of lunch. See more details below.

Lunch Details
1-night Booking:
We are now offering lunch everyday at The Shack. If you would like to add lunch on the day of arrival or departure, the cost is $15.00 per person.
To help us plan accordingly, we kindly ask that lunch selections be confirmed at the time of booking whenever possible.
Multiple Night Booking:
We are now offering lunch everyday at the shack. If you are staying two or more nights, lunch is included on the full day(s) of your stay. Lunch may be added to your reservation on your day of arrival or departure for $15.00 per person.
To help us plan accordingly, we kindly ask that lunch selections be confirmed at the time of booking whenever possible.

Important Note: Please note that the purchase of lunch on the day of arrival or departure does not impact standard check-in or check-out times. Check-in begins at 3:00 PM EST, and check-out is at 10:00 AM EST.

What lunch options are available?
We offer a simple, hearty lunch prepared onsite, designed to accommodate guests and groups retreat schedules. Menus vary and may include sandwiches, soup, salad, dessert and drink.
Who can add lunch to their reservation?
Lunch may be added for overnight guests and retreat groups and day-use groups meeting during lunchtime hours, based on availability.
How far in advance do lunches need to be added?
Lunch should be added at the time of booking whenever possible. However, it must be added no later than 14 days prior to your arrival. This allows our kitchen team adequate time for planning and preparation.
Is there a minimum number of guests required?
No, if you are an overnight guest, lunch is available for purchase.
Can we add lunch for only part of our group?
If you are booking with a group, we ask that the entire group attends lunch.
Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
We do our best to accommodate common dietary needs options when notified in advance. Please provide all dietary requests at the time lunches are added.
How is lunch served?
Lunch is typically served buffet-style in our dining facility, the Pine Stump Diner, or a designated meeting space, depending on your schedule.
What is the cost for adding lunch?
$15.00 per person *Pricing may vary based on menu and group size. Guest Services can provide current pricing and include it in your reservation total.
Can lunches be added after we arrive?
To help us plan and serve our guests well, we ask that lunch selections be confirmed at the time of booking whenever possible. As a rule, we are unable to add lunches once your group has arrived on campus.
How do we add lunches to our reservation?
Simply contact Guest Services by email or phone, and they will update your reservation and confirm details with you.

The Shack is an alcohol-free campus. Grace Adventures desires to provide a safe environment for all employees and guests and to create an environment where they can focus on and learn more about a deepening relationship with Christ.
The Shack has zero-tolerance for illegal substances and intoxicants, including marijuana and alcohol, on all our properties, in all our facilities and vehicles, and at all our events. All such substances are strictly prohibited. All rooms and buildings at The Shack are smoke and vape free. Smoking in the facilities will result in a $100 cleaning fee.
For the safety and comfort of all guests, fireworks, firearms and weapons are not permitted.Guests who arrive with fireworks, firearms or other weapons must secure them properly and legally in their vehicle before entering the property. Exceptions for firearms are made for law enforcement officers and other authorized personnel. Guests who do not comply may be asked to leave the property without refund.
Cancellation Policy:
- A minimum of 25% of the total reservation is required as a deposit at the time of booking.
- I/We understand that we may cancel this agreement at any time up to 60 calendar days prior to the beginning date of our event. In doing so, we agree to forfeit our deposit.
- If I/we cancel this agreement at any time within the 59 calendar day period prior to the beginning date of the event, regardless of the date of the contract signing, I/we understand that cancellation fees will be assessed as follows:
- Within 40 to 59 calendar days of our event, we will owe 50% of the reservation total.
- Within 20 to 39 calendar days of our event, we will owe 75% of the reservation total.
- Within 19 calendar days of our event, we will owe 100% of the guaranteed minimum stated below.
